With 100 percent of Los Angeles County precincts now reporting, early results indicate voters have approved Measure M, a countywide, half-cent sales tax hike to fund the expansion of light rail, bus networks, bike paths and highway improvements. In Santa Monica, Measure LV, an initiative to freeze high-rise development, was defeated.
